Job Title: Assistant Corporate Accountant- 12 Month FTC

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Corporate Accountant to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for providing financial support and assistance to our clients, ensuring the timely processing and payment of supplier invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain clients' accounting systems, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and purchase orders.
  • Partner with the Accounts Payable team to provide support and resolve invoice-related queries.
  • Assist Corporate Accountants with month-end and quarter-end financial reporting tasks, including expense analysis and accrual/prepayment journals.
  • Prepare year-end papers for auditors, providing supporting information and liaising with GVA FM staff and Surveyors.
  • Provide ad-hoc reports and reconciliations to support team decision-making.
  • Respond to and liaise with the PMA Helpdesk to resolve general queries.
  • Adhere to the PMA quarterly timetable for key processes and operations.

Requirements:

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
  • Attention to detail, particularly when updating database information.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large amounts of data.
  • Experience working to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to listen to stakeholders' requests, interpret, and provide a resolution.
  • Ability to deal with high volumes of work and prioritize accordingly.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High level of IT knowledge, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Autonomy and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility and commitment to completing tasks.
