Job Summary:

Khalil Gibran School Rabat is seeking an exceptional Teacher of English as an Additional Language to join our team. As a member of our community, you will play a vital role in providing a world-class learning experience for our students.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated teacher who can implement a comprehensive EAL lesson plan that addresses the needs of students at different proficiency levels and ages. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering the UK National Curriculum or Cambridge Primary and/or Moroccan Curriculum, and will be confident in the use of ICT in teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement a comprehensive EAL lesson plan that addresses the needs of students at different proficiency levels and ages.
  • Provide support to the Head of EAL and assistants, including coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with mainstream subject teachers to promote language integration and support EAL students in accessing the curriculum.
  • Assess student language proficiency and progress, and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and school leadership.
  • Coordinate with admissions to assess the language needs of prospective students and facilitate their smooth transition into the school.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and community organizations to provide additional support services for EAL students and families.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience delivering either UK National Curriculum or Cambridge Primary and/or Moroccan Curriculum.
  • Confidence in the use of ICT in teaching.
  • High expectations and aspirations for all students.
  • A commitment to the overall development of young people.
  • An open-minded approach to their work, willing to learn and develop.
  • A demonstrable love for what they do and a proven track record.
