Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Senior Activities Coordinator to join our team at Bupa. As a Senior Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of activities for our residents, including musical acts, days out, exercise classes, and arts and crafts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a variety of activities for our residents, including morning and afternoon sessions
  • Produce and update an activity planner for the home, working to a set activities budget
  • Support our residents and encourage them to participate in activities
  • Organize birthday surprises for our residents
  • Ensure everything is organized for planned activities, events, performers, and days out
  • Liaise with external companies and performers from the local community to organize days out/events at the home
  • Assist with breakfast, lunch, and dinner duties (when necessary)
  • Organize one-to-one sessions with our residents, including reminiscing tools, puzzles, reading, or just a cup of tea and a chat
  • Update paperwork, care plans, activity notes, and manage emails
  • Support the home with their social media channels as required

  • You are a creative thinker with plenty of ideas and can manage budgets and maintain paperwork effectively
  • You are interested in caring for others and sharing your sense of humor and enthusiasm for making people's lives better
  • You are able to motivate colleagues to support each activity or event and make links in the local area or even get friends and family involved
