Job Title: Acoustic Consultant/Senior

We are seeking a highly skilled Acoustic Consultant/Senior to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for contributing to the success of our infrastructure projects, providing technical leadership, and developing the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the management of high-profile infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and exceeding client expectations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced consultants, helping them to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Develop the business by negotiating with clients and contractors, establishing new relationships, and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Respond to client enquiries, communicate effectively, and draft fee proposals to secure new business.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to degree level in acoustics or a related discipline.
  • Membership of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA).
  • Full driving license.
  • Considerable postgraduate experience in environmental and/or building acoustics.
  • Previous experience of acoustic consultancy in infrastructure, including rail projects.
  • Good written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to negotiate with clients and contractors.
  • Highly motivated, conscientious, and diligent with attention to detail.
  • Flexible and prepared to take on new challenges.
