Acoustic Consultant/Senior Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Acoustic Consultant to join our team at Penguin Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Acoustic Consultant, you will be responsible for contributing to and managing high-profile infrastructure projects, providing technical lead to less experienced consultants, and developing the business by negotiating with clients and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to and manage high-profile infrastructure projects
  • Provide technical lead to less experienced consultants
  • Develop the business by negotiating with clients and contractors
  • Respond to enquiries and communicate with clients to establish their needs
  • Draft fee proposals and develop new business relationships
Requirements:
  • Qualified to degree level in acoustics or a related discipline
  • MIOA certification
  • Full driving license
  • Considerable postgraduate experience in environmental and/or building acoustics
  • Previous experience of acoustic consultancy in infrastructure, including rail projects
  • Good written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Be numerate, literate, and familiar with IT and software appropriate to the project tasks
  • Good working knowledge of all relevant codes of practice and industry standards
  • An ability to communicate effectively
  • Be commercially aware
  • Be highly motivated, conscientious, and diligent with attention to detail
  • Flexible and prepared to take on new challenges
