Regional Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Regional Technician to join our team at the RNLI. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our life-saving equipment, ensuring that our volunteers and staff have the tools they need to carry out their critical work.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair lifeboats, launching equipment, and other technical assets across the Southwest Region.
- Conduct trials and testing of equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Work collaboratively with our Lifeboat Station Mechanics, Lifeguards, Contractors, and other technical staff to achieve our goals.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure our equipment is always in top condition.
- Provide technical support and guidance to our volunteers and staff.
- A minimum Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent in a mechanical engineering discipline with electrical elements.
- A completed time-served apprenticeship in a marine or vehicle-based engineering position.
- Excellent mechanical and electrical knowledge, with a strong understanding of technical systems and processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- A full driving licence, with a willingness to travel and work out of hours when required.
- A competitive salary in the range of £28,334 to £33,334 (dependent on experience).
- A vehicle will be made available for you to carry out your duties.
- 26 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
