We are a leading industrial recruitment agency in the South West region, and we are currently working with a reputable manufacturer in Poole to find a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, maintaining records of machine running hours, and attending to machine breakdowns to ensure continuity of production. In addition to these key responsibilities, the ideal candidate will have experience in pneumatics, welding, and problem-solving, as well as the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is between £41,000 and £44,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, and will rise to £52,300 once progression levels are complete. In addition to a competitive salary, the successful candidate will also receive a company pension, 21 days' holiday plus bank holidays, and overtime at 1.5 times the hourly rate.

Job Description

Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a completed apprenticeship, a formal qualification from City & Guilds, and experience in pneumatics, welding, and problem-solving. They will also be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
