Aerospace Manufacturing Technician Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Manufacturing Technician to join our client, a leading Aerospace and Defence supplier, on a 12-month contract in Southampton.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manufacture high-quality components, sub-assemblies, jigs, and fixtures to support product build and on-time delivery.
  2. Train Manufacturing Operatives in manufacturing/assembly processes and ensure they have the necessary skills to drive efficient team working.
  3. Provide supervision, training, and coaching to Manufacturing Operatives and Apprentices to achieve team delivery targets.
  4. Contribute to process improvement to ensure continuous improvement within the manufacturing function.
  5. Operate conventional and CNC machine tools and use inspection tools and techniques to support infrared detectors build.
  6. Complete tasks with minimal supervision and demonstrate proficiency with designs and detailed engineering drawings prepared to ISO Standards.
  7. Work with a wide variety of machine tools and be proficient in the use of Heidenhain and Mazatrol software.
  8. Computer literate with basic Word, Excel, and data input skills.
  9. Proficient in the use of SAP.
