About the Role

Children North East is a leading children's charity in the North East region, dedicated to supporting the well-being and development of babies, children, and young people. We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Development Lead to join our team and contribute to our mission.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Operational Development Director to develop and implement strategies that drive our growth and success. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and growing our external participation, consultation, and research work
  • Leading the development of our internal voice offer to the babies, children, young people, and families we serve
  • Supporting the development and implementation of our training offer across the North East through a new online platform
  • Conducting research on potential new areas of work and scoping current issues and trends affecting babies, children, and young people
  • Driving forward our current work across the North East region with support from the Operations Director and Operational Development Director
  • Collaborating with the Policy team to influence and drive forward our policy and campaign work

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regional development, excellent communication and project management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
