Job Title: Operational Excellence Manager

Job Summary:

The Advocate Group is seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Manager to join a leading business in the FMCG sector. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Lean Manufacturing Practices: Develop and implement lean manufacturing practices, such as 5S, AM, and root cause analysis, to drive continuous improvement and reduce waste.
  • Operational Excellence Strategy: Implement and manage the medium to long-term operational excellence timetable, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Perform detailed gap analysis across site processes and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to drive efficiency.
  • Leadership Development: Develop technical and behavioral skills within the Senior Leadership Team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Project Management: Facilitate and lead projects to reduce factory costs and ensure effective use of resources.

Requirements:

  • Senior Leadership Experience: Proven track record in senior leadership roles, with experience managing a team.
  • Lean Manufacturing Expertise: Proven experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects, including 5S, VSM, TPM, SMED, Kaizen, and OEE.
  • FMCG Experience: Experience working in the FMCG sector or across manufacturing at volume.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, team building, coaching, and development skills.
