OBJECTIVE

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with hotel teams and fellow Property Accountants to facilitate and manage the administrative and financial accounting functions for a specific portfolio of hotels.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reconcile general ledger and revenue accounts while addressing any outstanding discrepancies.
  • Conduct accounting analyses for cash accruals, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and sales tax exemption reviews.
  • Analyze financial reports to identify and clarify variances.
  • Execute month-end closing procedures and reconciliations.
  • Provide accounting analyses and reporting to aid in decision-making processes.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances.
  • Deliver relevant accounting information to hotel management as required.
  • Assist hotel teams with daily accounting inquiries and issues.
  • Generate and distribute monthly account management reports.
  • Comply with standard accounting principles and company policies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Showcase strong time management skills.
  • Display initiative and follow-through in all tasks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • General accounting experience is essential, including expertise in general ledger, bank reconciliations, financial statements, and balance sheet preparation.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel is required.
  • Experience in the hospitality sector and familiarity with SAP is advantageous.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
