OBJECTIVE

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with hotel management and fellow Property Accountants to oversee and manage the financial and administrative accounting functions for a specific portfolio of hotels.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reconcile general ledger and revenue accounts while addressing any discrepancies.
  • Conduct financial analysis for cash accruals, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and sales tax exemption assessments.
  • Analyze financial statements to pinpoint and clarify variances.
  • Execute month-end closing procedures and reconciliations.
  • Perform accounting analyses and generate reports to aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances.
  • Provide necessary accounting information to hotel management as required.
  • Assist hotel staff with daily accounting inquiries and issues.
  • Produce and distribute monthly account management reports.
  • Comply with standard accounting practices and company policies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Showcase effective time management skills.
  • Demonstrate self-initiative and follow-through on tasks.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in general accounting, including general ledger management, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and accounts payable.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel is essential.
  • Experience in the hospitality sector and familiarity with SAP is advantageous.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
