OBJECTIVE

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with hotel teams and fellow Property Accountants to facilitate and manage the administrative and financial accounting functions for a specified collection of hotels.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reconcile general ledger and revenue accounts while addressing any outstanding discrepancies.
  • Conduct financial analysis related to cash accruals, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and sales tax exemption assessments.
  • Analyze financial statements to pinpoint and clarify variances.
  • Execute month-end closing processes and reconciliations.
  • Perform accounting analyses and generate reports to aid in decision-making.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances.
  • Supply necessary accounting information to hotel management and staff as required.
  • Assist hotel teams with daily accounting inquiries and challenges.
  • Produce and disseminate monthly account management reports.
  • Comply with established accounting principles and company protocols.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Showcase effective time management skills.
  • Display a strong sense of initiative and follow-through.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in general accounting is essential, including general ledger management, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and accounts payable.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel is required.
  • Experience in the hospitality sector and familiarity with SAP is advantageous.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
