About the Role: As a teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and helping pupils succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide encouragement, guidance, and support to pupils
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons
  • Help pupils with their learning and development
  • Support the class teacher in maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths and English
  • Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification or similar childcare qualification
  • Some experience of working within a school setting or with children
  • Enhanced DBS check (Academics can provide a DBS if needed)
  • Safeguarding Certificate or safeguarding training
  • Good subject knowledge
  • Patience and empathy towards pupils
  • Confidence and a proactive approach
