Job Summary: Academics is seeking skilled primary teaching assistants to work across primary schools in the surrounding areas.
About the Role: As a teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and helping pupils succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide encouragement, guidance, and support to pupils
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons
- Help pupils with their learning and development
- Support the class teacher in maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths and English
- Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification or similar childcare qualification
- Some experience of working within a school setting or with children
- Enhanced DBS check (Academics can provide a DBS if needed)
- Safeguarding Certificate or safeguarding training
- Good subject knowledge
- Patience and empathy towards pupils
- Confidence and a proactive approach
