Job Title: Associate Director

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our team at ACT London, a leading provider of wealth structuring and advisory services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing our BPO services, working closely with our leadership team to drive business growth and excellence.

About the Role

The Associate Director will be responsible for:

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of clients, including preparing financial statements, VAT and tax returns, and providing support to interdepartmental heads.
  • Further developing, mentoring, and managing onshore and offshore teams to provide effective and efficient BPO services.
  • Regularly reviewing work for quality and compliance.
  • Providing technical advice to the team and clients.
  • Leading on developing excellent client service and relationships with clients.
  • Awareness of clients' affairs and opportunities to provide value-added services.
  • Building knowledge and awareness of all aspects of the firm's service to identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell services to clients.
  • Responding quickly to client requests and needs, keeping clients informed of progress, and maintaining regular contact with clients.
  • Recognizing and keeping the Partner informed about new business opportunities for own and other departments arising on existing and new clients.
  • Liaising with HMRC, clients, banks, and other professionals.
  • Ensuring assignments are completed within agreed budgets and keeping all parties informed of overruns.
  • Ensuring that the firm's quality control procedures are adhered to.
  • Identifying risk and technical matters, exercising judgment within agreed parameters.
  • Providing overall compliance and technical support on client matters.
  • Actively participating in bids and proposals for new work.
  • Managing WIP and Billing process.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 15 years' experience in a BIG4 Accountancy firm with most recent experience in BPO services.
  • Qualified accountant (FCA/FCCA).
  • Extensive multi-disciplinary management accounting knowledge, corporation tax, FCA, and other regulatory reporting experience.
  • Experience of supervising teams.
  • IFRS/UK GAAP knowledge.
  • Fluent English and at least one of the major European languages (Italian, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese) preferably Italian.
  • External audit experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Onesource Tax, Sage Tax, and IRIS Business Tax.
  • Excellent working knowledge of IRIS, SAGE, SAP, and XERO accounting packages.
