Finance Assistant Role

Benjamin Edwards is seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join their team. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of banking and finance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations for multiple sites
  • Prepare accurate short-term cash flow forecasts on a weekly basis
  • Ensure debtors reconcile and customer accounts are allocated correctly
  • Generate payment runs for approval by the Head of Finance when required
  • Act as a gatekeeper to ensure no direct postings to the nominal account, as all transactions should be supported by an invoice (unless agreed with the Head of Finance)
  • Assist in audit responses related to queries for areas of responsibility
  • Support payroll activities and process development and improvement projects impacting treasury activities
  • Support purchase ledger with posting, ordering, and inbox management if required
  • Assist with day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Excel
  • Experience with Xero is desirable
  • Team player with a can-do attitude
