Livestock Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Poultry Farm Assistant to join our team at Pilgrim's Europe. As a key member of our farm operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our poultry flock.

• Stockmanship: Develop and maintain a high level of stockmanship skills, including bird handling, vaccination, and weighing.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of bird health, food, and supplies.
• Environmental Sustainability: Contribute to reducing the farm's environmental impact by implementing sustainable practices and procedures.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication with the farm and area management teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Welfare and Hygiene: Prioritize bird welfare and maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping.
• Equipment Maintenance: Develop a basic understanding of farm equipment and assist in fault-finding and minor repairs.
• Health and Safety: Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend changes to enhance efficiency and economy.

Requirements: NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, basic understanding of farm equipment, and a commitment to animal welfare and environmental sustainability.
