Job Overview:

LutechResources is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer Lead to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading a team of mechanical engineers in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of mechanical engineers: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement design solutions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Manage project scope and schedule: Work with project managers to ensure that project scope and schedule are aligned with client requirements.
  • Coordinate with other departments: Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and fabrication, to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure quality and safety: Ensure that all projects are completed to the required quality and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in mechanical engineering and share knowledge with the team.
  • Provide technical support: Provide technical support to other departments as needed.
  • Manage budgets and resources: Manage budgets and resources to ensure that projects are completed within budget and on time.
  • Develop and implement process improvements: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicate with clients: Communicate with clients to ensure that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the work being done.
  • Develop and maintain relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that LutechResources is well-positioned to meet their needs.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field: A master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering: A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering is required, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical skills: Strong technical skills in mechanical engineering, including design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team of engineers and communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources: Ability to manage budgets and resources to ensure that projects are completed within budget and on time.
