About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team at Priory Group. As a PBS Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality support to individuals with complex needs, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans, including Functional Behaviour Assessments, to support individuals in achieving their goals.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to colleagues, promoting a culture of excellence and best practice in PBS.
  • Support colleagues in incident analysis and debriefing, ensuring that lessons are learned and applied to improve practice.
  • Design and deliver staff training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills in PBS.
Requirements
  • Hold a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support, such as a BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities or a PBS Graduate Diploma.
  • Be qualified or willing to work towards PROACT-SCIPr-UK Instructor certification.
  • Demonstrate person-centred beliefs, values, and attitude, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of the principles of Positive Behaviour Support and Applied Behaviour Analysis.
  • Have a history of conducting behavioural assessments and developing, implementing, and evaluating interventions for individuals.
  • Have experience in reducing the use of restrictive practices and delivering Positive Behaviour Support training.
  • Have excellent record-keeping and written skills, including report writing.
  • Have a detailed understanding of relevant legal frameworks and policies, such as the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Safeguarding.
