About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to join our team as Theatre Operations Director at Bupa Cromwell Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and operational leadership to our Theatres and Anaesthetics Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to drive the growth and development of the Theatres and Anaesthetics Department, aligning with the hospital's overall objectives.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and services, maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Performance Management: Own and maintain key performance measures, monitoring outcomes and driving improvement to achieve ambitious targets.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including consultants, staff, and patients, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Culture and Engagement: Foster an inclusive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of excellence and employee engagement.
Requirements
  • Senior Leadership Experience: Proven track record of senior leadership experience in a healthcare environment, with a strong understanding of clinical service management.
  • Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans, driving growth and profit generation.
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to understand the impact of operational efficiencies on revenue performance.
  • Change Management: Experience in managing change programs within complex environments, with a focus on driving improvement and innovation.
  • Education and Qualifications: Degree-level education in a relevant discipline, or equivalent, with a Master's degree in Health Management or MBA desirable.
