Job Summary

The Programme Manager is a key role within our organisation, responsible for leading end-to-end project and programme management, and implementing robust processes to deliver requirements while ensuring value for money.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the long-term financial performance of our projects and programmes through effective operational and financial performance management.
  • Lead and manage end-to-end product, project, programme management and direct delivery, including mobilisation, reviews of performance and compliant exit.
  • Build effective and productive working relationships with funders, sector bodies and subcontractors, teams across the organisation and commissioners.
  • Deliver high levels of customer service in managing commercial enquiries.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Lead performance management of subcontractors by setting and monitoring targets to maximise their contribution and ensure performance targets are achieved.
  • Lead regular reviews with funders and subcontractors to monitor financial performance against budget and assess delivery performance.
  • Develop commercial and funded programmes delivery strategy and shape their design, feasibility, financial modelling, project plans, procurement of subcontractors, risks and mitigations.
  • Identify effective practice through data analysis and robust audit, sharing with the wider organisation and developing into business-as-usual.
Requirements
  • Excellent organisational planning and management of multiple priorities and projects with high-quality delivery on time and on budget.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Solution-oriented, flexible, adaptable and resilient.
  • Strong communication skills, working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent financial literacy, including budget development and management, advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial processes.
  • Data literacy, including Excel, data manipulation, analysis and interpretation of data.
