Key Responsibilities

As a Team Leader for System Risk Management, you will be responsible for:
  • Overseeing a team of customer risk analysts and a technical lead to deliver services effectively.
  • Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and communication.
  • Formulating relevant business strategies, objectives, and performance indicators while pioneering innovative operational methods.
  • Analyzing data to identify and devise solutions for intricate challenges.
  • Offering specialized technical assistance to the broader organization concerning Clean Water System risks.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to Water Quality regulations.
  • Complying with company Health & Safety protocols, auditing standards, and documentation practices.
  • Guaranteeing that all network activities align with current Asset Management Procedures.
  • Conducting root-cause analyses and recommending strategies to avert future failures or non-compliance.
  • Mentoring and nurturing the development of the team and other colleagues.
  • Maintaining a continuous awareness of business operations.
  • Delivering timely and accurate reports and information as required.
  • Assisting the Water System Performance team in managing engineering and customer-focused projects.

Qualifications and Skills

  • The ideal candidate will possess relevant leadership experience, ideally within the utilities sector.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing abilities are crucial, given the level of interaction with various stakeholders.
  • A growth mindset, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, is essential.
  • Team collaboration is fundamental to this role, as is the capacity to perform under pressure to meet challenging targets.
  • The successful applicant will exhibit a strong desire to learn and enhance their professional knowledge, skills, and behaviors.
  • A working knowledge of hydraulic systems, SCADA/telemetry devices, GIS mapping systems, SAP, and other corporate IT platforms such as Microsoft Office 365 is preferred.

  • A competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum, commensurate with skills and experience.
  • 26 days of annual leave, increasing to 30 with length of service, in addition to bank holidays.
