About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Orthopaedic Specialist Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Orthopaedic Physiotherapy team, you will be responsible for providing advanced assessment and treatment for patients with complex orthopaedic conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment for patients with complex orthopaedic conditions.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Orthopaedic services across the Trust.
  • Contribute to the out-of-hours Orthopaedic services, including weekend and twilight shifts.
  • Collaborate with therapy, nursing, and medical colleagues to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in CPD, audit, and evidence-based projects to improve practice and patient outcomes.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Evidence of a Physiotherapy Degree (BSc or MSc equivalent).
  • Post-graduate education, such as post-graduate Diploma/MSc modules.
  • Experience of working in Trauma and Elective Orthopaedics, including short stay/day surgery.
  • Experience of working in Orthopaedic weekend services.
