About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Orthopaedic Specialist Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Orthopaedic Physiotherapy team, you will be responsible for providing advanced assessment and treatment for patients with complex orthopaedic conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality physiotherapy services to patients with a range of orthopaedic conditions, including trauma and elective orthopaedics.
- Supervise and appraise less experienced physiotherapists, technicians, and assistants to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of orthopaedic services across the Trust, including the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Person Specification
We are looking for a physiotherapist with:
- Postgraduate education in physiotherapy or a related field.
- Experience of working in trauma and elective orthopaedics, including short stay/day surgery.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a complex caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience of supervising and appraising less experienced staff.
