Community Engagement Coordinator at Methodist Homes

Position Overview:

Type: Permanent - Part Time - 14 hours per week

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to your local community by assisting older individuals in enhancing their social connections.


We are seeking a motivated individual to become part of our team at Methodist Homes. The role requires travel within the community, thus a valid driving license and access to a vehicle are essential. Familiarity with various digital platforms is also preferred.

The Community Engagement Coordinator will be tasked with organizing and managing a diverse range of activities tailored to meet local needs.

All initiatives aim to alleviate feelings of isolation and loneliness while promoting the overall wellbeing of older adults across various community environments.

The program may encompass a variety of MHA's core services, including but not limited to: social outings, lunch gatherings, befriending initiatives, and clubs. Additionally, the coordinator will be responsible for creating new activities based on community feedback and requirements. This may involve collaborating with local organizations, such as educational institutions, to provide IT training or coordinating exercise sessions led by local professionals.

Strong communication and organizational skills are crucial, as the Community Engagement Coordinator will interact with a wide range of internal and external partners.
