An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead and manage the operational management of Hospital Operations within Swansea Bay University Health Board.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the Hospital Operations team, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective patient care, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities
Provide operational leadership and management for Hospital Operations, working collaboratively with the Divisional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and reduce waiting times, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective care.
Work closely with the Clinical team and Deputy Head of Nursing to ensure that the Hospital Operations team is aligned with the Service Group's objectives and priorities.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Service Improvement qualification (Silver)
- Post-Graduate qualification in a clinical specialty
- Proven experience in leading and managing complex service change
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
