Job Title: Associate Director of Services

Job Summary:

We are seeking an inspirational leader to work as an Associate Service Group Director within the newly formed Division of Acute and Emergency Care & Hospital Operations. The Division has a range of key services, including Emergency Department and Minor Injuries Units, Acute Medical Assessment unit and Same Day Emergency Care, Virtual Wards and Acute Care Team, Hospital Operations, Patient Flow improvement, and Care of the Elderly and Acute Frailty.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide leadership and management of the Morriston Service Group (MSG) to deliver effective leadership and management of the Division.
* Work with the Group Director, Group Nurse Director and Group Medical Director to support the delivery of the Division's objectives.
* Develop and maintain high quality standards of care and ensure that there is clear and unequivocal focus on quality and safety at the core of the MSG's objectives.
* Lead on significant service improvement and manage performance to ensure targets and performance indicators are met.
* Develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships both internally and externally.

Essential Skills and Experience:

* Evidence of report writing skills, service planning and presentation skills.
* Ability to plan strategically in the medium and longer term for change and service improvement.
* Ability to work as part of a team but also accepting responsibility and accountability for performance.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

* Programme and project management qualifications.
* Breadth of knowledge across all health services from primary to tertiary care.
* Service Improvement qualification (Silver).
* Coaching Qualification.
