Role Overview

As a Lead Care Facilitator, you will become an integral part of a compassionate and collaborative team dedicated to providing exceptional support to individuals with learning disabilities and mental health challenges. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

In this position, your primary responsibilities will encompass managing and coordinating the effective operation of shifts, ensuring the welfare of all clients, addressing any issues that may arise, and supervising junior care staff. You will be tasked with planning engaging activities, administering prescribed medications, liaising with families and healthcare professionals, overseeing daily documentation, managing budgets, conducting financial audits, and performing health and safety assessments.

This role can present various challenges, making qualities such as a positive mindset, empathy, resilience, and attentiveness essential. The satisfaction derived from witnessing the progress of those you support is immensely rewarding; you will have the opportunity to facilitate achievements that were previously unattainable.

Each day in this role is unique, providing ample opportunities for engagement and motivation. While there is a degree of routine, you can anticipate a dynamic work environment. Your schedule will include a mix of day, night, and weekend shifts to ensure a balanced team effort.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as a Lead Care Facilitator or extensive background in care within a residential setting for individuals with learning disabilities and autism, along with an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience.
  • Strong empathy and a nurturing disposition.
  • Willingness to assist clients with personal care needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a good sense of humor.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors effectively.
  • A positive and professional demeanor.
  • Reliability, flexibility, diligence, and integrity.
  • Proximity to the workplace or within a reasonable commuting distance.

Eligibility Requirements:

Candidates must reside in the UK and possess the Right to Work in the UK on a full-time basis. Please note that 20-hour Student and Skilled Worker Visas are not applicable.
