Responsibilities
- Assist nursery staff in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) by engaging children in fun and educational activities, promoting their development towards key milestones, and ensuring their safety throughout the day.
- Collaborate with a larger team to complete essential daily tasks in accordance with nursery requirements, such as maintaining hygiene standards and preparing rooms.
- Uphold child welfare, protection, health and safety, and safeguarding protocols.
- Work alongside colleagues to create a positive, enjoyable, and secure environment for children.
Qualifications and Skills
- Full and Relevant Level 2 or higher Early Years qualification
- Previous experience in childcare roles (e.g., Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder)
- A passion for making learning enjoyable and engaging for every child
- Proficiency in various communication techniques with both children and adults
- Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding practices
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
