About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Membership Development Executive to join our team at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. As a key member of our Membership Development Team, you will be responsible for creating and sustaining membership opportunities with the armed forces and academia across southern England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with armed forces and academic contacts to promote membership opportunities.
  • Deliver presentations, one-to-one support, and workshops to engage with Armed Forces personnel and grow membership opportunities.
  • Undertake telemarketing activities to support ongoing membership acquisition and retention.
  • Support and attend conferences, exhibitions, and external events to promote the Institution's work.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of membership activities and progress.
About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Experience of managing your own workload and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent planning, reporting, and organizational skills.
  • IT literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A full, valid driving license.
