Position Overview

As a Category Procurement Lead, you will spearhead the execution of sourcing category initiatives and associated supplier management efforts. Your role will involve forging robust collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders to influence business objectives and anticipate future trends and needs. You will oversee all operations in accordance with relevant organizational policies and within acceptable risk parameters.

This position offers flexibility in location, allowing you to work from various sites. A hybrid work model is in place, requiring in-office attendance a couple of days each week.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a vital member of the Customer Sourcing category team focused on Insurance, Pensions & Investments, and Motor, collaborating with a team of sourcing experts to enhance the category's vision and objectives.
  • Assist our Insurance, Pensions & Investments teams in fulfilling their commercial requirements by implementing effective sourcing strategies that align with their business targets.
  • Cultivate and maintain essential relationships with key partners, promoting innovative thinking by questioning traditional practices to achieve greater commercial value for the organization.
  • Keep an informed and current understanding of the fund management services category, managing crucial supplier relationships to gain early insights into new and innovative product developments, thereby supporting the Group's transformation efforts.


Qualifications

  • Proven sourcing expertise, with a solid background in negotiating contracts and managing procurement categories, preferably in consumer products, though not mandatory.
  • Experience in developing and overseeing sourcing projects in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, influence, and translate strategic objectives from business clients into actionable sourcing strategies and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships with key internal stakeholders and acting as a trusted business partner.
  • A positive, resilient, and adaptable demeanor, with a track record of thriving in constantly changing environments.
