Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Post Production Manager to join our team at Publicis Groupe. As a key member of our post-production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the post-production elements of all our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post-Production Scheduling: Develop and manage post-production schedules to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Talent Management: Build and maintain relationships with freelance post-production talent, including editors, colorists, motion designers, sound engineers, and VFX artists.
  • Cost Management: Negotiate costs with suppliers to ensure alignment with budget while maintaining a healthy profit margin.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot problems and complications as they arise, offering solutions while maintaining a calm and patient demeanor.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks on every round of edit to ensure it meets the original brief and all feedback has been actioned.
  • Project Management: Track costs, spend, and profit on projects, updating the executive producer with progress.
  • Client Relationships: Maintain and build solid relationships with agency producers and creatives, ensuring a positive experience with Black Sheep Studios.
  • Asset Management: Manage the BSS edit suites, ensuring a booking system is in place and all assets are saved to the server and final films are saved to Google Drive.
  • Industry Knowledge: Attend relevant industry events and talks to stay up-to-date on post-production trends.

Requirements:

  • Post-Production Knowledge: Thorough understanding of post-production processes, from offline to online, for scoping and scheduling.
  • Talent Network: Ability to bring a network of freelance post-production talent to the table and continuously seek new talent to add to the network.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Positive and flexible attitude with a flair for problem-solving.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of all Adobe Creative Suite (setting up projects and troubleshooting technical issues).
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to catch errors or missed feedback during the QC process.
  • Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date understanding of post-production rates and costs to scope accurately.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to secure post-production talent within budget while maintaining a healthy profit margin.
  • Motivation: High level of motivation and positive, friendly, and outgoing attitude.
