Product Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Product Governance team as Assistant Vice President. This role will be responsible for leading on key deliverables, including product reviews, governance and oversight, and regulatory implementation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on product reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Develop and implement effective governance and oversight frameworks to mitigate risk and protect the bank's operational, financial, and reputational risk.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders across the bank and business units to improve overall control effectiveness and identify potential weaknesses and issues within internal controls.
- Develop and execute reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework and develop new policies and procedures to support the control and governance agenda.
- Proven experience in investment banking and product governance, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and investigate potential weaknesses and issues within internal controls.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders across the bank and business units.
- Ability to develop and execute complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources.
