About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Headteacher to join our team at Simply Education. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in the planning, creation, registration, and opening of our new school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Lead the design and implementation of a curriculum tailored to the needs of our student cohort.
  • Team Recruitment and Development: Build and nurture a high-performing team to secure the success of the school.
  • Operational Management: Ensure the school meets the highest standards of education and care, in line with our vision and values.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with parents, the local community, and external agencies to create a supportive and collaborative environment.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): With a further professional qualification in a relevant area. Candidates with a Headteacher qualification (such as NPQH/SNLP) or a willingness to gain such a qualification are preferred.
  • Proven Experience: As a Headteacher within a specialist school environment—essential.
  • Knowledge of DfE Guidance: Including Independent Schools Standards (ISS).
  • Understanding of SLD and ASD: With up-to-date knowledge of related issues.
  • Knowledge of Government Initiatives: Local and national legislation relevant to the role.
  • Quality Assurance Experience: Including lesson observations and performance management.
  • Leadership Qualities: Strong, effective leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
