We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team at Social Care & Education Jobs as a Headteacher for a brand new Specialist Education School in Derby. This school will cater primarily to students with Autism and ADHD, spanning both primary and secondary school ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- School Planning and Development: Lead the strategic planning and development process for the new school, ensuring all necessary preparations for a successful opening.
- Curriculum Design: Develop and implement a comprehensive and inclusive curriculum tailored to meet the needs of students with Autism and ADHD.
- Team Building: Recruit, train, and manage a dedicated team of educators to foster a collaborative and supportive working environment.
- School Registration: Oversee the school's registration process, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
- Operational Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the school, including budgeting, resource allocation, and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
- Student Welfare: Promote the well-being and academic progress of all students, implementing effective safeguarding and inclusion policies.
- Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community to support the school's objectives and enhance student outcomes.
