About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Headteacher to lead our new Primary and Secondary Special Education School. As part of our growth strategy, we are opening a brand-new school that will provide education and care for children, young people, and adults with special educational needs and disabilities.

The Opportunity:

As Headteacher, you will play a critical role in the planning, creation, registration, and opening of our new school. You will help shape the look and feel of the school, ensuring it becomes an outstanding learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Leading the design and implementation of a curriculum tailored to the needs of our student cohort.
  • Team Recruitment and Development: Building and nurturing a high-performing team to secure the success of the school.
  • Operational Management: Ensuring the school meets the highest standards of education and care, in line with our vision and values.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engaging with parents, the local community, and external agencies to create a supportive and collaborative environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a further professional qualification in a relevant area.
  • Proven experience as a Headteacher within a specialist school environment.
  • Knowledge of DfE Guidance, including Independent Schools Standards (ISS).
  • Understanding of SLD and ASD, with up-to-date knowledge of related issues.
  • Leadership Qualities: Strong, effective leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
