Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Community Engagement Specialist to lead our efforts in engaging and collaborating with the communities and stakeholders on projects working to decarbonise home heating.

About the Role:

Your role is crucial in building positive relationships and ensuring our projects have a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing, maintaining, and supporting stakeholder relationships through stakeholder events, forums, or meetings for Future of Energy projects.
  • Consistently embedding stakeholder and community strategy across Future of Energy teams.
  • Scoping out issues identified by internal or external stakeholders and developing engagement plans.
  • Managing and reviewing stakeholder mapping.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in community engagement, stakeholder management, or related roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of energy and sustainability principles is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Technical Skills Knowledge/Experience:

  • Demonstratable experience of stakeholder/communication knowledge
  • Strong influencing ability
