About the Role

Cover People is currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to support a Primary School in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and supporting those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general classroom support and assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Support learners with SEN needs on a 1:1 basis, developing strategies to enhance their learning experience
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with behavior management and develop strategies to promote positive behavior
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support for learners

Requirements

  • 6 months experience working with children
  • Experience and knowledge of supporting children with SEN and complex needs
  • Excellent behavior management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • DBS on update register
  • References for last 2 years work history
  • Up-to-date CV
