Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our IT Department within the AV/IT team at Loughborough University. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to users of AV/IT systems, with a primary focus on DigiLabs environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and guidance to users of AV/IT systems, including specialist technologies such as VR and AR, Robotics, and advanced audio-visual systems.
- Lead the technical support services related to DigiLabs and apply specialist technical knowledge to resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with the AV/IT team to ensure seamless delivery of technical support services.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base to support technical support services.
Requirements:
- Significant experience of AV/IT support in a managed support environment.
- Strong technical knowledge and skills, with significant experience of installing, testing, and commissioning of supplier-specific equipment and software.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
- Good oral communication skills and analytical approach to problem-solving.
