Job Overview

Salary will be adjusted based on hours worked below 37 per week, and for term-time positions.

The Catering Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Facilities Management catering team to deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring compliance with all Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Food Safety Regulations, and the Schools (Health and Nutrition (Scotland) Act. This position involves overseeing the catering staff to guarantee the effective delivery of services to clients. Responsibilities include managing food orders, handling administrative tasks, monitoring inventory levels, and promoting the uptake of school meal programs.

PVG / Disclosure Scotland Requirements

All positions within East Dunbartonshire Council that require PVG/Disclosure checks must adhere to the following criteria:

Candidates applying for roles classified as Regulated Work under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment confirmation.

Successful candidates will bear the cost of the relevant check, which will be deducted from their first salary payment. In certain cases, this payment may be deducted in installments from the employee's wages after starting employment, subject to HR Services Lead approval.

If an employee resigns before the payment is deducted, the total amount will be taken from their final salary. These criteria also apply to current employees of East Dunbartonshire Council who apply for positions requiring a PVG/Disclosure check.
