We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Respiratory Medicine Specialist to join our dynamic team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. As a key member of our Respiratory Directorate, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our respiratory services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical care to patients with respiratory conditions, including lung cancer, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
- Develop and implement subspecialty respiratory medicine services for a population of over 600,000.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and develop new services.
- Contribute to the development of clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in research and education activities to advance the field of respiratory medicine.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice.
- Eligibility for inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register (including via CESR/European Community Rights) or a CCT/CESR(CP) date within 6 months of interview.
- Strong clinical experience in respiratory medicine, with a focus on subspecialty areas such as lung cancer, pleural medicine, and sleep services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to develop and implement clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
