About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Respiratory Medicine Specialist to join our dynamic team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. As a key member of our Respiratory Directorate, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our respiratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with respiratory conditions, including lung cancer, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
  • Develop and implement subspecialty respiratory medicine services for a population of over 600,000.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and advance respiratory care.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical governance and research initiatives within the Respiratory Directorate.
  • Participate in teaching and training programs to support the development of junior staff.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).A licence to practice with the GMC.Experience in respiratory medicine, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
