Position Title: Inventory Operations Supervisor

Overview:

The Inventory Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the management of inventory processes within the organization, ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of essential materials and supplies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the effective management of inventory systems, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of stock levels, including consumables and reagents.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a dedicated team, providing daily supervision and motivation to achieve departmental goals and maintain high standards of service.
  • Procurement Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely procurement and delivery of inventory items, while negotiating favorable terms.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all operations adhere to health and safety regulations, conducting regular training and risk assessments for team members.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing inventory processes and implementing best practices to improve efficiency and sustainability.

Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in inventory management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing inventory systems, preferably in a scientific or research environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various levels of the organization.
