We invite you to consider a position as an Engineering Team Leader, where your expertise in engineering will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the upkeep and servicing of the vehicle fleet, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Recruit and nurture a skilled, motivated, and high-performing engineering workforce.
  • Strategically assign both scheduled and unscheduled tasks within the engineering team, including managing absences on the day.
  • Guarantee vehicle availability aligns with operational needs.
  • Collaborate with the Stores Manager to optimize stock management and ensure timely processing of warranty claims.
  • Maintain precise records related to engineering standards and performance, including fleet and environmental management.
  • Conduct disciplinary, grievance, or absence management reviews in line with company policies.
  • Partner with depot operational and engineering teams to effectively oversee all facets of service performance, including vehicle distribution, breakdowns, changeovers, and service reliability.

We will equip you with the necessary PPE and tools to perform your duties effectively.

Reporting Structure: Engineering Manager

Compensation: £48,600.00

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, averaging 38.5 hours per week over a two-week period. Hours: 18:00 – 06:00

Annual Leave: 25 days, pro-rated.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess at least an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline, with experience in monitoring engineering work standards on PCV.
  • Have a solid understanding of safe workshop equipment operation and prior supervisory experience.
  • Hold a valid UK Driving License.
