Position Overview
Elm Tree Surgery is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner (Salaried) to join our esteemed practice. We offer a flexible commitment of 4 to 8 sessions per week, accompanied by a competitive compensation package.
Work Environment
Our practice is designed to support your professional journey with:
- No on-call duties
- No home visits required
- No obligation to oversee Advanced Clinical Practitioners or trainees
- Daily coffee breaks integrated into your schedule
- Minimal administrative tasks, with no need to manage blood tests or correspondence
- Convenient parking facilities available
- Easy access to major transport routes
As our patient list continues to grow, we are eager to welcome a motivated and enthusiastic GP to our well-structured and forward-thinking team. We encourage applications from both seasoned professionals and those newly qualified, including individuals awaiting their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will play a vital role in our practice, with responsibilities including:
- Patient triage and assessment
- In-person consultations with patients
- Telephone consultations
- Minimal administrative duties (no filing of blood tests or letters)
- No home visits
- No on-call responsibilities
- Upholding professional standards that foster quality care and team collaboration
About Our Practice
Elm Tree Surgery is a well-regarded training practice with a patient base of approximately 11,500, located in a thriving community. We have received a 'Good' rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and achieved a 96% satisfaction rate in our recent patient survey. Our practice is recognized as one of the top-rated GP practices nationally.
Our team consists of 5 GP partners, 3 salaried GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, and Healthcare Assistants, all supported by dedicated management and administrative staff. We pride ourselves on fostering a friendly and collaborative work environment that promotes continuous learning and professional development.
As an active member of the local Primary Care Network, we are supported by Clinical Pharmacists, First Contact Practitioners, Social Prescribers, a Health & Wellbeing Coach, and a Mental Health Practitioner.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- MBBS
- MRCGP qualifications
- Registered with the General Practitioner Register
- Not subject to suspension under relevant medical regulations
- Qualified General Practitioner with completed CCT
- Current inclusion on a CCG Performers list
- DBS clearance
- Evidence of timely revalidation/appraisal
Desirable:
- Experience in primary care or GP practice settings
