In response to an expanding patient base, we are looking to recruit a Salaried GP to become part of our well-structured and forward-thinking Partnership. We welcome applications from both seasoned and newly qualified GPs, including those awaiting their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). The ideal candidate will be a motivated and enthusiastic professional with a robust work ethic, thriving in a collaborative team environment.

As a Tier 2 sponsorship employer, we encourage applications from international candidates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting face-to-face patient consultations.
  • Managing telephone consultations.
  • Engaging in minimal administrative tasks (no filing of blood tests or letters).
  • No home visits required.
  • No on-call duties.
  • Exhibiting professional behavior that promotes quality care and fosters team spirit, with active participation in regular team meetings.
About Our Practice

Elm Tree Surgery is a well-regarded, high-performing training practice with a growing patient list of approximately 11,500. We have received a 'Good' rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and recently achieved a 96% satisfaction rate in patient surveys. Our practice is recognized as one of the top-rated GP practices nationally on Google reviews.

You will join a team comprising 5 GP partners, 3 Salaried GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, and Healthcare Assistants, all supported by dedicated Management, Administrative, and Reception staff.

We pride ourselves on fostering a friendly and supportive practice environment that encourages learning, development, and personal growth. As an active member of the local Primary Care Network, we are supported by Clinical Pharmacists, First Contact Practitioners, Social Prescribers, a Health & Wellbeing Coach, and a Mental Health Practitioner.

Our practice utilizes the SystmOne system.

Job Expectations

We are looking for a Salaried GP to play a vital role within our practice team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Addressing a diverse range of healthcare needs in a primary care context.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to delivering high-quality primary care services and a genuine interest in the ongoing development of General Practice.
  • Newly qualified GPs are encouraged to apply, as we offer a supportive environment with supervision available if needed. Our team includes 3 trainers, including a Training Programme Director.
  • Access to state-of-the-art, purpose-built facilities.
  • Opportunities for professional development.
  • Collaboration with Primary Care Network staff to ensure excellent patient service, including Mental Health support, First Contact Practitioners, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, and Social Prescribing professionals.
  • We are looking for a commitment of 4-8 sessions per week, with flexibility to discuss this further.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • MBBS degree.
  • MRCGP qualifications.
Experience Requirements
  • Registration as a medical practitioner on the General Practitioner Register.
  • No current suspension under the Medical Act.
  • Completion of General Practitioner training (CCT).
  • Inclusion on the CCG Performers list without suspension.
  • Current DBS clearance.
  • Evidence of timely revalidation/appraisal.
  • Experience in a primary care or GP practice setting.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This position is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, necessitating a Disclosure submission to the Disclosure and Barring Service for any prior criminal convictions.

Remuneration ranges from £10,500 to £11,000 per session, pro rata per annum.
