Overview:
Skilled Careers is seeking a proficient Technical Coordinator to support a prominent residential developer/contractor in South East London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing a large-scale residential project, collaborating closely with senior management to ensure efficient job execution from a technical perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the project coordination and assist in daily operations.
- Review and process architectural and engineering documentation.
- Ensure comprehensive checks and coordination of all project information.
- Distribute drawings and information for construction, adhering to established protocols.
- Facilitate inquiries and applications with statutory service providers and local authorities.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information.
- Support the department in maintaining updated practices regarding Building Regulations and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare and verify brochure plans while managing brochure divergence tracking.
- Coordinate internally with Planning, Commercial, Construction, and Sales teams.
- Develop and oversee technical specifications.
- Prepare and issue specific site documentation and sales/legal notes for project launches.
- Manage customer change procedures, ensuring alignment with construction schedules.
- Participate in site and project meetings as necessary.
- Update and distribute drawing trackers to ensure timely information delivery in accordance with build programs.
Technical Competencies:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a technical role within a residential development context, focusing on both low and high-rise mixed-use projects or within an architectural/engineering firm.
- A degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
- A solid understanding of Building Regulations and current legislation relevant to residential and commercial development.
- Proficiency in computer applications, along with strong numerical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- The ability to lead a design team effectively and manage internal staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships.
- Excellent organizational capabilities, with the ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- A keen attention to detail and an analytical approach to problem-solving.
- A focus on product quality, design feasibility, and cost-effective solutions.
- A motivating presence with a proactive attitude aimed at achieving both personal and team objectives.
