Job Title: Manufacturing Sourcing Expert

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Sourcing Expert to join our team at Quickparts Acquisition, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in injection mold and CNC machining sourcing, with a proven track record of growing and managing supplier networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client quoting, supplier sourcing, production planning, and on-time order fulfillment
  • Analyze engineering models/drawings to define fabrication operations and ensure design intent and component quality
  • Estimate costs considering materials, tooling, manufacturing times, inspection times, and required equipment
  • Collaborate with injection mold/casting experts, Quality, Engineering, Management, and other team members to satisfy end customers
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) principles
  • Understand protocols, standards, technologies, and machining applications
  • Work with outside vendors/services to achieve optimal pricing
  • Interrogate engineering solid models and drawings; familiarity with GD&T
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Read and interpret CAD, blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
  • English level: B2 or higher
  • Experience with sourcing tooling and finishes
  • Cost estimating experience (injection mold and CNC) for prototype, low volume, and high-volume quantities
  • Grow and manage the supplier network
  • Communicate with customers and partners to accurately define requirements and expectations
  • Create detailed quote packages for final review
  • Engage in technical discussions to support machinists and process engineers
Requirements:
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Competencies that include CAD proficiency, knowledge of injection mold/CNC design and fabrication methods, experience communicating design for manufacturability (DFM) feedback, costing, and sound technical communication aptitude
  • Knowledge of various injection molding and CNC machining technologies
  • Understanding of gate strategies, mold-flow, single and family cavity molds, over molding, and simple custom tooling
  • Good negotiation skills
