Safety Compliance Manager in Manufacturing

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager with a background in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or manufacturing sectors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the HSE program to ensure adherence to legal, local, and corporate policy standards.
  • Develop and sustain site-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain an SOP matrix and implement a review process.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive HSE training matrix.
  • Facilitate internal training sessions for employees as necessary.
  • Coordinate external training initiatives, such as first aid and fire safety courses.
  • Administer the maintenance schedule for fire extinguishers.
  • Ensure the availability and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain and audit spill kits to ensure readiness.
  • Oversee pest control measures to meet site requirements effectively.
  • Establish and manage a site HSE audit schedule.
  • Lead HSE audits and ensure the implementation of corrective actions for continuous improvement.
  • Supervise the disposal of scrap products and raw materials in compliance with legal and local regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and establish review schedules.
  • Perform COSHH assessments and set timelines for reviews.
  • Develop and enforce an environmental policy to ensure compliance.
  • Manage accident reporting and conduct monthly debriefings.
  • Organize monthly Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) committee meetings and document the minutes.
