About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Compliance Coordinator to become a vital part of our organization, overseeing health and safety protocols across our various locations. Your role will involve the formulation, implementation, and management of safety policies to ensure a secure working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guarantee adherence to health and safety regulations by all personnel, providing essential training and facilitating regular meetings to support staff understanding.
- Oversee the safe installation and maintenance of equipment across all facilities, ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and site evaluations, identifying potential hazards and strategizing effective risk mitigation measures.
- Stay informed on current operational practices, ensuring compliance with any legislative updates.
- Manage First Aid and Fire Safety responsibilities, ensuring all actions align with established policies and procedures.
- Document and investigate incidents, accidents, complaints, and health-related issues, ensuring comprehensive reporting.
- Address any health and safety concerns raised by management or team members, providing solutions and support.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Current knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation.
- Possession of CMIOSH or NEBOSH Diploma as a minimum qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably within a retail or multi-site context.
- Proven ability to effectively conduct meetings, investigations, and facilitate group discussions.
